Have iPhone, will podcast

As a bit of an experiment I recorded this podcast the other day from the beach at Inverloch in Victoria (pic below shows the view).

Why? To show how easy it is.

Some people shy away from blogging because they are put off by the amount of writing required. Others understandably are not all that enamoured with the concept of standing in front of a video camera and recording a post for the world to see.

However, podcasting just might provide a happy medium. Get your story out there – your thoughts, opinions and ideas without ever having to appear on camera and with little need to put pen to paper (unless you’re going to publish accompanying show notes).

SHOW NOTES:

For this production, I used an iPhone app called iTalk.

I recorded my voice by speaking directly into the iPhone (with a simple press of the iTalk button) – I then synched the audio file wirelessly to my MacBook Pro laptop.

I dragged the audio file into Garageband application and added music at the beginning and end (Delta Beats sourced cheaply from royalty free music library IB Audio). I exported the edited audio file to my desktop, from which I subsequently uploaded to WordPress for this post.
