Do you barrack for Carlton Football Club? More importantly: do you blog (and/or tweet)?
Yes? Then this opportunity might be of interest
The Blues are looking for tweeters and bloggers for the 2011 AFL finals series.
This, from the club’s website:
As the players prepare themselves for a tilt at our 17th flag, we want you to come down to training and blog for our fans all around the world.
Go beyond the boundary and into Carlton’s inner sanctum, enjoy a free lunch and be taken on a tour of the Visy Park facilities. You might even get to meet a few of the boys!
Register here if you’re interested.
What are other sports clubs doing ?
I love this from professional ice hockey club New York Islanders (here is David Meerman Scott’s take on the club’s initiative – sounds like the path Carlton intends taking – great stuff!).
Locally, Richmond Football Club promotes its fan/bloggers.
Do you have any other examples of sporting clubs that are engaging with bloggers?
I don’t believe this is a true image.
Carlton supporters don’t look like this!
Clearly this has been photoshopped.
I would have thought BlogHug would be more ethical about the way they present images.
What is the BlogHub policy on photoshopping teeth back in?
Dear Scott,
Unfortunately Blog-Hub forgot to reveal that all dentistry work has been paid for by the Pay per Click programme embedded in the comments section of this post! Thank you for your kind donation
Go Blues!

Now, if you would’ve said North Melbourne Trevor….

Ohhh, the opportunity is still being offered…..safe to say no Carlton supporters are smart enough to blog? Ha!
Go Hawks!
Cool idea, though, by the club.
