Meet Me At Mikes – from blog to best-selling books

Pip Lincolne is a blogger, writer, author and shopkeeper. She used to run a cafe, now she’s Australia’s Queen of Crafters.

Pip’s massively popular blog Meet Me At Mikes sits at the heart of a burgeoning ‘mini multimedia empire’ that includes two books (and another on the way), a freelance writing career and a shop (also called Meet Me At Mikes) in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

More importantly, she’s Australia’s number one female blogger!

Pip is a top lady – a genuinely warm and generous person who gives a lot of herself through her blog and other online avenues such as Twitter.

I remember watching her being interviewed on a Social Media Club Melbourne panel of ‘power bloggers’ alongside Darren Rowse and Duncan Riley (disclsoure: I was one of the organisers of the night). Darren is one of the world’s top bloggers – a blogging purist who is also a master at monetising his blog; Duncan has been around the blogging traps for a while now and has had considerable success in the space along the way, recently selling his popular Inquisitr blog.

Pip sat between these two blogging Goliaths and more than held her own – she is a master at building and nurturing her community of fans – she gives so much of herself and this is what has fuelled her ‘organic’ success as one of this country’s most popular crafters.

And it has led to all sorts of achievements, including two books and inclusion in a feature by The Age Melbourne Magazine’s top 100 Most Influential People in Melbourne.

But enough of my profiling – here is Pip in her own words.

PLUS … below is an interview Pip recently did on Channel Ten’s The Circle. Who said blogging doesn’t make you famous?
