Steve Sammartino is a traditional big brand marketer turned entrepreneur who blogs with brevity and punch.
Steve’s Start Up Blog reflects the journey he’s been on, from the marketing departments of the likes of Kraft and Foster’s through to the establishment of Rentoid, an online business best described as the ‘Ebay of renting’ (he’s currently Director of Planning at Grey Advertising).
Steve is a prolific blogger, preferring to write daily and post regularly rather than cram a lot of writing at the one time (he likens it to going to working out every day rather than going nuts in the gym at the weekend).
Start Up Blog is very simple in terms of design, and while most of Steve’s posts are short he does occasionally weigh in with a longer more in-depth article – this one for example is one of my Samma favourites (Soundbites from the future).
He is also in charge of a sideline blog called Flux Capacitor – great name, that!
