How to train your pet easily?
Congratulations, your pet is home finally!!! The immediate next step is to give them proper training. Whether you will choose training classes or train them yourself, some tips can make it easy for you. First, you need to name your dog wisely and everyone at your home should be respectful for it. If your dog is of old age, he is probably used to his name. But as dogs are adaptable, they will get habituated with their new name easily if you consistently use it. The main thing is that you should give name associating with pleasant and fun things rather than negative feelings.
Here are some valuable tips which makes you great going while training your kid:
- Set up his private den
Your pet needs ‘a private room’ for him/her. He deserves his own, private den for sleeping and relaxing that’s not used by anyone else in the family. His den, usually be crate, will also be a valuable part of house training. You can train him to go in their shield when you don’t want him to be in a house. If he feels comfort and get rewarded to be at peace, he will surely follow your instructions.
- Help him relax when he comes home
You should warmly welcome your pet when he comes home. You can give him a bottle of warm water and put a ticking clock near his sleeping bed. Whatever you can do to make him comfortable and happy, you should do to make him feel familiar to his new home.
- Teach him to come when called
Come kiddo! Come baby! Or you can call his name and see if he follows your command or not. To respond when you call his name is the first and foremost thing to initiate a training. And since he is coming to you, your alpha status will be strengthened. You can get motivated by having him running towards you even if he is doing something interesting but you called his name. You can take benefits about this by repeating this acts of calling his name and having his response.
- Reward him for good behaviour
Reward your pet for his good behaviour with your positive acts with him. You can give toys, treats, cuddle or praise to him after he does some good activities or behave nicely. Alternatively, you should never encourage his jumping behaviour, you should ignore his jumping up position by turning your back to him or gently getting angry on him. If he is biting or nipping you, rather than scolding him, give him a very painful look so that he can sense your feeling.
To conclude, you can decide some ‘House rules’ for him and make him trained your way!
